How do I make a video call — or switch to video during a voice call?

Start a video call from any chat with one tap. Already on a voice call? Turn your camera on and the other person is invited to join on video.

Step by step

  1. Open the chat and tap the video camera icon to start a video call.
  2. For voice only, tap the phone icon instead.
  3. During a voice call, tap the camera button to switch — the other side gets a friendly invitation to turn video on too.
  4. Calls are free and use your internet connection.
