How do I make a video call — or switch to video during a voice call?

Start a video call from any chat with one tap. Already on a voice call? Turn your camera on and the other person is invited to join on video.

Step by step

  1. Open the chat and tap the video camera icon at the top — or the phone icon for voice only. You can also call from the Calls tab or a contact page.
  2. While it rings you see your own camera; the other side sees who is calling and answers on any of their devices.
  3. On the call: Mute, Speaker, Video (turn your camera off or on) and End. Pull the handle up for more: Screen share, Flip camera, Effects, HD, Record, React and AI Mood.
  4. During a voice call, tap Video to switch — the other side gets a friendly invitation to turn their camera on too. Calls are free and use your internet connection.
