Fifteen tones, yours to assign

From a soft chime to a harp or a water drop. Choose one for all chats in Settings, and give one chat its own tone so you know who wrote before you look.

Pick a colour or a pattern for one conversation, or for all of them. The chat with your family can look different from the chat with your team.

Every screen has a light and a dark version, designed separately, not inverted. Choose in Settings, Theme.

Step by step

How do I change the notification tone, for all chats or for one? Fifteen tones; one for everything, or a special one for one chat. How do I set a wallpaper for a chat? A colour or pattern for one conversation, or for all of them. How do I turn on dark mode? Light or dark, from Settings. How do I change the app language? Twenty-six languages, switched inside the app. How do I mute or archive a chat? Mute stops the sounds; archive hides the chat until it writes again.

Frequently asked questions

Do my tones follow silent mode?

Yes. Message tones are notification sounds: silent mode, vibrate mode and Do Not Disturb are respected.

Can I give one person a special tone?

Yes. Open the chat, tap the name, choose Customise chat, then Notification tone.

Does the web app have the same settings?

Yes. Tones, wallpapers and the language are available on web.haydai.com too.
